Julie Chadwick reporter with the Times Colonist newspaper in Victoria and is also the author of the critically acclaimed book The Man Who Carried Cash, about country music superstar Johnny Cash’s and the relationship with his Canadian manager, Saul Holiff. Her work has appeared in The Globe and Mail, The Walrus, Ottawa Citizen, IndigiNews, The Discourse, Preview Magazine and Yukon Magazine. She holds a master's degree in journalism from Carleton University and her reporting has won a number of awards, including as a 2025 Webster Award finalist, a 2022 Canadian Association of Journalists award and as a finalist for the 2019 Allan Slaight Prize for Journalism.
